On Tuesday (April 30), the selection board named the 15-member squad led by Rohit Sharma that will endeavor to snap the group’s ICC prize dry spell, in the USA and the West Indies.
Squad: Rohit Sharma (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya (vc), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh
India are put in Group A of the competition close by most outstanding opponents Pakistan, Ireland, Canada and co-host USA. Their mission starts on 5 June against Ireland at the recently built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York before they take on Pakistan in one of the most anticipated matches of the impending T20 World Cup.
All groups are permitted to make changes to their squad until 25 May, after which any adjustment will require endorsement from ICC’s Occasion Technical Council.
